Foreword By Sir Viv Richards

I am excited and honored to write a foreword for this book by Sam Thevanayagam. While playing in the West Indies and all over the world, I faced the fiercest of bowlers, batted without a helmet, entertained fans, and learned important life lessons. This book captures the way you should play an innings in a cautious manner; collecting the first 10 runs in singles and then building up your innings to accelerate later. There are deliveries that must be left aside and left alone. One should know what balls to leave, and which to play.
